Parents: If You Want Your 0-4 Years Old Toddler To Develop Holistically & Excel In Primary School Then This Is The Most Important Letter You'll Read Today
[Backed By Research] Highly Sought-After Brain Development Trainer & Early Childhood Programme Developer Reveals The Scientific Method To Nurturing Successful Well-Rounded Children
Find out how this method has helped hundreds of toddlers every year to build the strong foundation needed to excel across multiple disciplines with complete ease and enthusiasm!
My name is Jacqueline Neo. Most of you may recognise me as the Brain Development & Early Childhood Expert who has been regularly featured in parenting blogs and magazines, including The New Age Parents and Motherhood.
I hold a Masters in Early Childhood Education, am a certified speech education trainer by the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, and also a licensed educator of Kindermusik (a music-and-movement childhood development school that focus on critical early-learning skills and whole-child development).
Because of my deep and diverse background in brain development and childhood education, I’ve been frequently invited to share practical insights on how parents can nurture their children holistically.
Over the years, I’ve also helped several brain development centres as a trainer and programme developer. I specialised in creating customised activities that is not only fun and engaging but also (more importantly) activate both the right and left brain of the child. (I’ll tell you why this is so important later).
Currently, I’m also one of the co-founders of Happy Train, brain development centre that has helped thousands of toddlers to become successful well-rounded children and excel across multiple disciplines, such as in academic, music, sports, math, science and language.
If you're reading this right now, I'm guessing that you're already aware of brain development training. But with so many different brain development and enrichment centres out there, you're probably wondering what's the difference between each one of them and which centre is the best for your child.
One of the things I always tell parents to do before choosing a centre, is to make sure that the methods are based on scientific research.
If the training methods are not backed by research, you will not only miss the “window of opportunity” to nurture your child properly, but more importantly, it will also limit the potential of helping your child to develop their brain holistically.
Before I share with you the scientific method to nurturing successful well-rounded children, here's what the science says about brain development.
Why Brain Development Training Is So Important For Your Child
As soon as the baby is born, brain’s neurons (which are essentially the main building blocks of the brain) creates and strengthen connections rapidly with other neurons. These connections are called also known as synapses. By the time your child reaches the 3 years old, 75% of the brain would already be formed.
As the child continues to grow, these connections will either be strengthen or they will be “trimmed” away. Like an internet connection cable, the more it strengthens, the strong the connections will be. On the other hand, if the connection is underutilised, the brain will trim away these connections. (This process is also called synapse pruning)
Here’s where it gets important. Normally, the brain will prune away many connections selectively on its own. It automatically chooses which connections to keep and which to “cut away”. As a result, some parts of the child’s brain will be more developed than others. This is the reason why most people are usually good in one area (like Math), but weaker in other areas (like languages). By age 6, 90% of the brain are formed.
But here's the good news: Scientists have discovered that during the first 3 years, if all parts of the brain are activated, the brain will be able to retain most of the important synapses, resulting in your child developing more holistically! This is why "activating" your child's whole brain is extremely crucial for his development.
Unfortunately...Most Brain Development Programmes Do Not Fully Activate Your Child's Brain! Some Brain Development Programmes Might Even Hold Your Child Back!
Problem 1: Focus Only On Right Brain Training
Recently there has been an increase in right brain development centres. The “theory” goes that right-braining training help children to learn fast, process a large amount of information as well as be able to think faster.
What the research says: Recent research findings has shown that right brain training alone is not sufficient. In order to activate the whole brain, the two brain hemispheres have to be connected. This involves using a variety of activities that activates that both hemispheres of the brain.
Problem 2: Use Of 2-Dimensional Manipulatives
They rely solely on 2-dimensional materials like flashcards to develop a child’s brain. While flash cards can be effective with the right approach, it only activates a certain aspect of the brain.
What the research says: The different brain regions are each associated with a particular set of abilities or behaviours which can be connected to different regions at different times in a hierarchical order, thus enabling the brain to carry out complex behaviours. Thus it’s important to use a multitude of purposeful activities to activate different brain regions.
Problem 3: Engaging A Limited Number Of Senses With Each Activity
They do not use multi-sensory approach that engages all 5 senses. Instead they just focus on activities that stimulates 2 or 3 senses at a time.
What the research says: During the first three years of life, children will experience the world in a more complete way (through the 5 senses). Infants are attracted to new sights, sounds and touch. it’s important to help the child to develop through experiential learning. From birth, babies explore their surroundings and learn through play.
Problem 4: Using Activities That Are Not Transferable To Kindergarten and Primary School
The problem with many of the activities is that they are focused on many fanciful techniques but have very little application outside the brain development school. Many children who developed their brains early on are unable to apply the skills to their school work easily.
What the research says: According to Dr Catherine Cox, head and principal psychologist of Psychology Service at KK Women's and Children's Hospital, "A child may improve on the brain training tasks, but it may not necessarily lead to improved academic performance for the child in a formal school context.
Problem 5: Only Focusing On The Child's Mental Development
The problem with a standard brain development program is they tend to focus entirely on the child's cognitive abilities. In the process, they might neglect the development of a child’s social-emotional development.
What the research says: Studies have shown that a child’s intellectual development is intricately bound to his emotional development. By putting emphasis on nurturing a child’s social-emotional skills, it will greatly impact your child’s future success in school and life.
Not only will he master interpersonal skills that will help him be appreciated and respected among his peers, it will also help him cultivate a positive attitude and a passion towards learning – all of which are key traits of highly successful people in the world.
Understanding the current limitation of the brain development and early childhood education, I decided to create a brand new approach that is proven to help your child...
Activate Your Child's Whole Brain During The Critical 0-3 Years Old Period!
I called this the H.E.A.R.T. approach to brain activation.
Besides nurturing the intellectual, mental and cognitive abilities, this approach focus on the socio-emotional aspect of the brain, the crucial component that provide a strong foundation for other activities:
The core foundation for whole brain activation is Happiness.
Parents’ love is most important in helping their infants learn about the world around them. John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth had long documented the studies on early attachment since the early 1960s.
They demonstrated the importance of the presence of a caregiver when an infant is exploring his/her surroundings.
We believe that the warm and secure relationship between a young child and the parent plays an important role in positive brain development.
Hence, parents sit in class with their children to facilitate learning and build stronger bonding. When the heart closes, the head stops learning.
Children make sense of the world around them using real objects and things they come across daily. They need to connect to the real world they live in, by internalizing their own experiences.
While most brain development centres focus on flashcards and worksheets, we focus on designing motor-sensory activities that help children solve problems and learn new concepts.
Exquisite handmade training materials let babies make sense of the world around them in a safe and fun way.
We design activities to hold the interest of the children’s curious minds and are set to improve their concentration skills.
The tempo of every class is well paced to ensure that children are not stressed by speed, and yet at the same time, they would not be bored with any particular activity.
In order to develop the brain holistically, we activate the right hemisphere and thereafter connect it to the left hemisphere of the children’s brains using languages.
Children learn to communicate their feelings and needs from a young age, thus minimising frustrations and misunderstandings.
During our weekly lessons, your child will learn various expressions and situations of daily through role-play games and songs.
When they can clearly express themselves and read other people’s expressions, they have better awareness of social relationships. Thus nurturing them to be confident.
We cover a wide variety of activities to captivate your child’s attention throughout the lesson time, to give better concentration. This includes everything from Photographic Memory, Perfect Pitch, High-speed data processing and speedy calculation.
Memory games are the fundamental curriculum of the Happy Train programme. During the weekly classes, we build your child’s ability to recognise and recall objects, pictures or information.
Students to focus & complete each task independently after few tries over the span of few weeks.

Amazing Stories From Parents Just Like You!
Mother of Ian Ow (11 years old), Faith Ow (9 years old) and David Ow (3 years old)
"...Tried Other Brain Development Programme But Nothing Comes Close!"
"Ian started with Happy Train when he was 2 and half. I was drawn to the energetic, experienced and loving teachers at Happy Train.
Ian was enthralled by the first lesson, with the hands-on activities. I believe this has greatly helped improve his memory and attention skills as a growing toddler. A Primary 5 boy now, Ian is motivated, welcomes challenges and enjoys learning. Having been exposed to numeracy in Happy Train, both Ian and Faith are very comfortable with numbers, and they have had topped Math in respective levels in their school
We have tried out other brain training programs (due to convenience and proximity), but nothing comes close to Happy Train. "
Lu Ann Teo, Mother of Dre Lee (5 years old)
"...attention span and memory improved tremendously! "
Dre used to have very low attention span. He could not sit through a 5 minutes storybook prior to joining Happy Train. I was hoping this course can help to improve his concentration skills and memory. Almost 4 years into this program with Happy Train, my child's attention span and memory improved tremendously!
He started to read independently at 3 years old. His memory is amazing! He notices details that most people will not pay attention to. He also remembers the school bus licence numbers and bus drivers' names of his classmates. He can also remember the mobile numbers and birthdays of most of his extended family members. He is a very confident child and believes in himself and his abilities.
Evangelyn Choon, Mother of Hannah (6 years old) and Emma Goh (3 years old)
"I have also gained new knowledge for myself, like learning vocabulary in Chinese..."
Hannah first joined Happy Train when she was about 2 years old and has continued with the programme till date. From the first lesson, Hannah was engaged throughout the 60 minutes lesson, with songs, flash cards, memory games, hands-on motor skills games and letters/number games. As she progressed through the years, the learning activities spiralled up in challenge but was still age-appropriate. These activities worked on memory, spatial visualisation, reasoning, language, writing and arithmetic skills, among many others, and it gives her a head start before entering Primary school.
As a parent, I have enjoyed sitting in for the lessons and bonding with my daughter. To be honest, I have also gained new knowledge for myself, like learning vocabulary in Chinese and working on my spatial visualisation skills as we interacted with the Nikitin blocks. Her younger sister, Emma, will be following in her footsteps and I am sure Emma will benefit as much as she did at Happy Train.
How Would You Like To Experience The Same H.E.A.R.T. Approach To Brain Activation With Your Spouse & Child?
If you want to find out more about Whole Brain Activation and experience first-hand how these classes will help your child to develop holistically… then bring your child down for this Brain Activation Immersion Class.
In Our 1-hour Brain Activation Immersion Class, you and your spouse will discover:
The 3 different states of mind your child must go through in order to learn effectively. According to Dr Christina Lim-Ratnam, Senior Lecturer at NIE’s Curriculum, Teaching & Learning Group, what determines the child’s ability to develop fast is whether these 3 states are present during learning. During the Immersion Class, we will walk you through how you can easily bring your child through these 3 stages whenever you want to have a learning session with your child.
Why touch is a fundamental and important source of security to a child. If you deprive an infant of touch, the body and brain will literally stop growing in a healthy manner. In other words, touch is an infant’s lifeline to security, attachment and reassurance. However, when it comes to touch, there’s a specific technique and exercise you can use to express a feeling of security to your child (the usual way of carrying alone is much less effective). Important to do this 3-min exercise often at home.
A unique deep breathing activity that will facilitate the development of speech. This pre-phonic training activity exercises the muscles around the mouth, which is crucial for precise diction and pronunciation. The more you do this activity with your child, the faster she perfects her articulation. (From my experience as a phonics trainer, this is the difference between a child who can speak well at a very early age and a late developer who can only speak properly at 3-4 years old).
A technique that will activate and strengthen that part of the brain responsible for language, social and communication skills development. Babies mainly develop language, social and communications skill through interactions with their parents. However one of the greatest problems parents make is not being able to communicate with the child in the language they are able to understand. Some parents use very complex sentence structure while others use “baby-talk”, thinking that this is how babies think (Huge mistake!). As a result, these babies tend to lag behind in this area of development.
The truth about Flash Cards that brain development schools don't tell you about. They can be an effective learning tool, but only if you use it the right way. For example, one of the most important thing to consider is the pace which you flash the cards. This is the reason why some parents have huge success with Flash Cards but others find it a waste of time. The benefits of flash cards are clear: It’s one of the best ways to give input for language and a wide range of vocabulary. Discover how to use it the right way!
The best way to nurture your child to be fully bilingual in both English and Mandarin (without having to sacrifice one language at the expense of the other). People are usually stronger in one language over the other. But it IS possible to be good in both. By continuously stimulating and activating the parts of the brain responsible for language learning, they won’t have any difficulty with either language.
How to develop critical thinking skills without drill and practice. Many parents (and even teachers) think that the way to develop reasoning abilities is to practice and drill difficult and abstract math questions. What they don't realize is that at the early stage of your child’s cognitive development, they need to introduce a wide variety of stimuli that will aid them in making decisions and solving problems. We'll show you how Happy Train trains children as young as 3 months old in critical thinking in a fun and enjoyable way!
The best way to activate parts of the brain that is responsible for spatial awareness for your 0-3 years old toddlers. Did you know that one of the determining factors that enables the child to develop and master critical thinking is actually spatial awareness? fMRI scanning shows that people with strong critical thinking skills have very strong neuron connections in the brain.
How to develop your child’s innate musical abilities. According to Scientific Journal Psychology of Music by Ichionkai Music School in Japan, every child has the potential to develop Perfect Pitch (also known as Absolute Pitch). The only condition: You must start a certain kind of music exercise before the child reaches 4 years old. Once your child develops it, it will remain in him forever (whether he chooses to learn a musical instrument later on or not).
How to incorporate Sensory Plays into everyday lives. Sensory games that stimulate and develop the 5 senses will activate the part of the brain that helps babies to do things like reading and writing. Sensory inputs are important elements needed to activate the brain and establish neuron connections.
How to introduce new words and vocabulary every day. It’s very common for an eighteen-month old child to easily master 500 over words. Unfortunately, many parents don't know what is the right way to develop the child's use of the language and end up trying to drill the wrong words in the wrong order. We'll give you a preview of how you should train your child to recognize and use words.
And many many more!
During the class, we’ll go through the principles and concepts of Brain Activation through practical and hands-on activities. We strongly encourage both parents to be present because the children will learn better and faster when they feel loved and bonded to their parents.

The program is structured, covering many aspects such as music, maths, puzzle and problem solving scenarios.
The teacher have demonstrate professionalism and a passionate attitude through the consistent high level of commitment and passion very week.
This programme gives them a good head start in primary school especially in Maths.
Reina Kaneko, Mother of Takuya Kaneko (6 years old)
"By joining Happy Train, I am sure that my son will realise his potentials."
We joined when my son was 2 years plus (Year 3). Before that we had been focusing only on Japanese at home so his English and Chinese were weak.
We understand that there are certain abilities such as language, which can only be nurtured when young and that Happy Train has the method and experience to teach and nurture them.
At Happy Train, there are many activities that we would not be able to do at home. The variety of the materials are unique and meaningful and needless to say fun. We liked that the maximum number of students in the class is 6, so the teacher can pay attention to each child.
The biggest achievement for my son would be the good habit to continue trying until achieved. For example, we continued practicing the memory game words, poems and math (addition, subtractions etc). I am happy that my son has experienced the joy of achieving a goal. This has led him to be more confident and he has turned from a shy boy to a more confident boy who can now speak in front of a class.
By joining Happy Train, I am sure that my son will realise his potentials. Furthermore, I really appreciate the strong bond that we have established during the time in Happy Train.

Now, I’m sure you’re aware that most brain development centres out there cost at least $85-$100 for per 1 hour lesson. And that’s excluding all the additional administration and material fees (Easily another $100).
But we’ve worked with many parents and children over the years, and we know that there are many considerations parents have when it comes to choose the right brain development centre, such as making sure that:
Teachers are warm and welcoming
The activities are engaging and exciting
Their child feels safe and secure in the class
Their child has fun learning
The place is comfortable and relaxing for the child (Even the brightness of the light alone can affect the child’s mood and emotion)
And more importantly, both the parent and child enjoy themselves
