Our Founder and Principal
The Founder and Principal of Happy Train Singapore, is a passionate educator who truly believes that every child is unique and deserves to be understood, supported, and celebrated. With over 20 years of teaching experience, she brings warmth, dedication, and deep insight into how young children learn and grow.
She holds a Master of Education (Early Childhood Education) from the University of South Australia, where she specialised in supporting children with special needs, understanding autism, and designing meaningful, age appropriate learning experiences. This strong foundation allows her to create inclusive programmes that help children build confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning.
She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Science from the University of Wales (Swansea), graduating with Second Class Honours (Division 1). This background equips her to lead Happy Train Singapore with clear vision, strong values, and high professional standards providing families with confidence in a well-structured, caring, and professionally managed learning environment.
Her wide range of professional certifications reflects her belief in nurturing the whole child academically, emotionally, and creatively:
Certified in Phonics and Early Reading Skills by the British Council, helping children build strong literacy foundations
Speech and Drama qualifications from The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), with multiple distinctions, supporting confident communication and self expression
Piano certification from The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM)
A Licensed Kindermusik Educator, using music and movement to make learning joyful and engaging
Certified in Japanese Language Proficiency by the Japan Foundation and the Association of International Education, Japan
She believes that children learn best when they feel safe, happy, and encouraged. Her educational approach blends structure with creativity, academic foundations with emotional support, and learning with joy. She works closely with teachers and families to ensure that every child is supported at their own pace and recognised for their individual strengths.
As Founder and Principal, her vision is to create a nurturing enrichment environment where children develop strong language skills, creativity, confidence, and a genuine love for learning skills that will support them not just in school, but in life.
At Happy Train Singapore, she is supported by a dedicated team of teachers, each with more than 10 years of experience in right-brain training education, with some teachers bringing nearly 20 years of teaching experience. Our teachers are not only highly experienced, but also deeply passionate about guiding children to reach their fullest potential.
Together, we strive to create a warm and inspiring learning community where every child feels confident, capable, and excited to learn.
